The art and technique of injecting are just one aspect of this course. 

Essential elements to becoming an aesthetic injector include knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, client consultations, proper documentation, aftercare, and complication management.

We will comprehensively cover how to avoid, manage and treat complications associated with botulinum toxin and dermal filler treatments.

When mapping injection areas, we don’t believe in teaching toxin injections using a paint-by-numbers treatment approach.   We realize that every patient is different, and we will teach you how to perform comprehensive dynamic muscle assessments to ensure that you can formulate the perfect treatment plan by individualizing the pattern of injections and dosages for each patient. 

You will learn to offer tailored treatment of toxins in the following areas.

• Forehead
• Glabellar (frown lines)
• Periorbital lateral lines (crow’s feet around the eyes) 
• Medial and Lateral eyebrow lifting. 
• Chemical Brow lift.  

You will learn how to treat males and females effectively and clients with varying muscle activity rather than a common area treatment pattern for everyone.   

You will learn how to balance muscle forces.

The cheeks are one of the first places we start to lose volume, leading to the sagging of tissues downwards and inwards, resulting in nasolabial folds, marionette lines and jowls.  We will teach you a systemized, anatomical approach to correcting volume loss in the aged face and how to educate your clients to treat cheeks first and then treat nasolabial folds and marionette lines after, as they will indirectly improve once the checks have been lifted. 

You will also learn the art of sculpting and contouring the cheeks for a more defined cheek in younger clients.  

Indications you will treat include:

• Lateral cheek
• Mid-cheek
• Anterior cheek

Assessment of the mid and lower face as one unit often leads to treating these areas simultaneously.  Treatment of the nasolabial folds and marionette lines will ensure balance.

You will learn how to treat cheeks together with nasolabial folds and marionette lines to get a balanced improvement of the mid and lower face.

You will learn to treat the nasolabial folds and marionette lines using micro-cannula techniques, as this is the safest technique for this higher-risk zone compared to needle techniques.

You will also learn to use micro-cannulas to turn up the oral commissures and how to treat the labio-mental crease.

Lip enhancement is the most popular dermal filler treatment in aesthetic injectables; therefore, it is an essential treatment to learn.  

You will learn the fine art and science of lip enhancement, so you can create beautiful, natural-looking lips that enhance your patient’s beauty rather than take it over. 

For patients who want a more voluminous lip, we will show you how to deliver this while respecting the patient’s anatomy and proportions.

We will teach you how to treat lips using the basics as a foundation and some new techniques.

You will be able to

• Artistically enhance and define by treating the vermillion border and philtrum.
• Volumise by treating the body of the lip using our specific technique.

You will practice reconstitution, drawing up, and how to inject precise volumes of toxin and dermal filler accurately on a mannequin. 

You will practice facial assessment and mark up injection points each other before treating your patients.

We provide suitable model clients for you to treat each day. 

Before treating your patients, you will observe our expert educators demonstrating treatments on each practical day. You will then complete your client as you would in your practice.  

The treatment will include the following:

• Taking pre and post-treatment photos
• Undertaking a thorough consultation and assessment
• Delivering treatment and providing post-treatment instructions.
